Sentinel Site Network (SSN)

Collaboration via Shared Platform
The Sentinel Site Network (SSN) is a collaboration of academic, governmental, and nonprofit organizations to monitor biodiversity and climate across the state of California. It was created to provide a monitoring mechanism for the California 30 x 30 effort to manage 30% of land mass for biodiversity by year 2030. One of the first agreements of the network was to use Dendra as a common platform for all climate data. By having all climate data easily pulled and downloaded from many different organizations greatly eases the barriers to analysis and discovery whether the 30 x 30 effort is working.
